Dear Fillmore Elementary Community,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you all back for the 2025–2026 school year!

As I begin my second year as principal of Fillmore Elementary, I am filled with pride and optimism for what lies ahead. Our first year together was marked by growth, resilience, and meaningful connection—and I’m eager to continue building on that foundation as we move forward together.

To our students, both returning and new: we are so excited to have you with us. You each bring unique strengths, creativity, and energy that help make Fillmore such a special place to learn and grow. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where you can explore your passions, overcome challenges, and reach your full potential.

To our families and guardians: thank you for your continued trust and partnership. Your involvement is essential to our school’s success, and I look forward to deepening our collaboration this year. Together, we’ll foster a culture rooted in high expectations, compassion, and a shared belief in every child’s ability to succeed.

We have exciting new initiatives, programs, and events planned that will enrich both the academic and social experience for our students. Whether it’s in the classroom, through extracurricular activities, or at community events, there will be many opportunities to connect, grow, and celebrate our progress.

Let’s move into this year with a renewed commitment to kindness, respect, and teamwork. When we lift each other up and work together, we create the kind of inclusive and vibrant school community where everyone thrives.

Here’s to a joyful and inspiring 2025–2026 school year filled with learning, connection, and growth.

Welcome back!

Warmly,
Ricardo Cota
